The Peculiar Robot Contest is an online scale modelling contest open to everyone from everywhere.
The goal of this contest is the creation of a fantastical robot, something that is not seen everyday, or at the very least does not fall within the transformer/gundam/mechanical man design type.
We here at the Peculiar Robot contest prefer the weird and unlikely. Non-standard, non-humanoid mecha/robots with unexpected physical make-up, asymmetrical bodies, and just plain weird details. See our inspiration page for examples and inspiration.
The contest rewards creativity and out of the box thinking in addition to building and painting skills. Because we wish to see something original, scratch building and kit bashing will be the way to go! For the full rules of the competition and how to enter, please see the rules page.
We have a trio of experienced judges that will determine the winners in this first edition.
Participation even comes with the risk of reward! Multiple prizes can be won which are donated by the organisers and our sponsors, of which we have quite a few (see right). Click on the sponsor logo to find out more about them!
